ALETEIA School and Sicily
Aleteia is a structure deeply rooted in Sicily where all the know-how we teach was developed and still is being improved in research laboratories, out-patient’s units, aulas, libraries and with continuous collaboration with wide local and international networks.
The ethos of Aleteia offers the project connected to the history and culture aimed at complex development of Sicily and tries to move in harmony between globalization and localization, which demonstrates for example our contribute to the founding of the first School of Cognitive Psychotherapy in Poland and also supporting the dissemination of Cognitive Therapy in Romania thanks to the European Union program called “Leonardo”.
In fact we hosted until now 16 Romanian Psychologists involved in the study of cognitive therapy.
Knowing and enjoying great artistic, historical and cultural heritage of Sicily is a very important aspect of our program.
During the stay trainees will participate in excursions to Villa Romana del Casale near Piazza Armerina, to Agrigento, Siracusa and Etna. We will also organize tasting and presentation of typical Sicilian products such as pasta, wines, cheese, sweets (famous cannoli and cassata siciliana).
Trainees will be picked up at the Vincenzo Bellini airport of Catania, one of the most modern and secure airports of Europe. Transfers from the airport of Catania to Enna (about 1h by car) is provided by the School. Catania is connected to the Hubs of Milan Malpensa and Rome Fumicino by numerous flights from the very morning till night.
You can find also some direct flights which connect Catania to many destinations in Europe, Asia and Africa.
